Wednesday 10/7:
- Study Guide 21.3 (Due today)
- Notes on roots and stems.
- Plant tissue lab. Find diagrams to represent the root, stem and leaf tissues discussed in the notes. Construct drawings in the appropriate places on the lab sheets.
Thursday 10/8:
- Plant tissue lab. **Show cell detail as well as tissue arrangement in all your drawings.
Friday 10/9:
- Work on projects. Plant projects are due Friday October 16, and must be turned in through Google Classroom.
- Plant tissue lab Due Wednesday 10/14. Find diagrams to represent the root, stem and leaf tissues discussed in the notes. Construct labeled drawings in the appropriate places on the lab sheets. **Show cell detail as well as tissue arrangement in all your drawings.
Learning Targets:
- Describe how energy is transferred and transformed from the Sun to energy-rich molecules during photosynthesis.
- Identify the reactants and products in the general reaction of photosynthesis.
- Explain how major systems and processes work together in animals and plants, including relationships between organelles, cells, tissues, organs, organ systems, and organisms. Relate these to molecular functions.
Success Criteria:
- Define photosynthesis
- Write a balanced equation for photosynthesis and identify the products and reactants.
- Identify the tissue types found in roots and stems, and identify their functions.
- Classify flowering plants based on root and stem structure.
